Exclusive homes in an idyllic location – Grange Developments
An outstanding new enclave of exclusive homes in an idyllic location on the outskirts of the parish of St John in Jersey, Carrefour Mews by Grange Developments comprises three luxury granite houses – two of which have been created from a barn conversion, with the third home being new build.
Due for completion in September 2017, this small development is in keeping with the surrounding countryside, within a village setting with plenty of amenities close by.
The project is being carried out by Quadrant construction, who have been commended for the high quality of their work.
The properties, which are in traditional style, feature a high specification throughout, with modern interior finishes.
David Whalley, founder of Grange Developments said: “The development is in a lovely location. The Jersey granite barn that we converted into two new houses hadn’t been used for some years and required considerable work.”
The barn incorporates one three-bedroom and one four-bedroom property, whilst the new build house, also constructed in granite and in a style matching the other two properties, includes five bedrooms. The three-bedroom barn also provides a large loft capable of conversion, which Grange can offer.
The impressive specification for each of these beautifully finished homes includes a luxury fitted Beauformat kitchen with contemporary worktops and feature under pelmet lighting, together with a full range of built-in appliances including double stainless steel oven/microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher, induction hob with extractor, cutlery insert and waste bin.
In addition, all properties have a utility room with space for a washing machine and tumble dryer.
En suites and bathrooms feature full height ceramic wall tiles, tiled floors, white sanitary ware with chrome fittings; WCs with soft close seats and dual flush and contemporary fitted vanity furniture with feature bathroom cabinets.
The electrical specification includes: white LED down lights to all rooms except bedrooms; brushed steel sockets; satellite dish and wiring for Sky+, TV and phone points to lounge, kitchen and all bedrooms; mains-operated smoke alarms and electrically operated garage door.
All properties have timber double glazed windows, external doors and frames; wood veneered internal doors; brushed steel internal door furniture; Varnished staircase with softwood treads and hardwood handrail, newel posts and spindles, and glazed internal double doors.
Cloakrooms feature ceramic floor tiles and half height ceramic wall tiles; white sanitary-ware with chrome fittings and contemporary fitted vanity furniture.
Externally, the properties have grass seeded lawns, block paved driveways and there is also a landscaped car park.
David Whalley concluded: “Quadrant Construction are doing a very good job, and producing high quality work. The project is making good progress on programme and we are very happy with it. There has also been significant interest from potential buyers in advance of completion.”
