Springfield Stadium and Park Place, St Helier

Continuing to forge ahead by adding yet two more impressive projects to its portfolio, leading Jersey company Style Group continues to impress with ongoing prestigious developments.

With 7 divisions specialising in construction, interiors, office furniture, windows, new housing, hard surface restoration and roofing, Style offer a broad range of experience combined with specialist knowledge.

Recent projects in St Helier by the group’s divisions include a development at Springfield Stadium and another at Park Place, a smart new homes scheme.

At Springfield Stadium, a multi-purpose football stadium and sports venue in St Helier, Style Interiors are carrying out a refurbishment project to redevelop areas of the venue to provide additional and improved facilities, and to complete FA improvement works. The contract includes the redevelopment of the sports hall area in the stadium to form additional studios, to replace those which will be re-located from the soon-to-be-closed Fort Regent.

The upgrades include the installation of a bespoke steel mezzanine floor in the main sports hall, alongside stairs and a platform lift in order to make space for four new studios. A full strip out of all areas, including the original services, was also necessary before the fit out started

The fit out includes works to two blocks of changing rooms, including the installation of new suspended ceilings, flooring and plasterboard partitions, as well as new fire rated glazed screens, timber fire rated doors and frames, and decoration throughout. A full mechanical and electrical fit out is also taking place.

After Style Interiors won the tender for this project, it was also decided to include a number of FA improvements needed at the venue, within the current project works.

This has involved replacing all fencing with a tarmac perimeter path, and the installation of new turnstiles, a players’ tunnel, supporter shelters, new escape signage and the creation of a new officials changing and first aid room. These improvements will provide better accessibility for people with disabilities and changes to the fencing, in line with the requirements of the English FA.

The replacement of the fencing will allow fans to watch the games from these areas without impediment. The current fencing in these areas has long been a source of frustration for fans and it is now hoped that their removal will entice more fans to watch games at the stadium for both Jersey Bulls matches, and Jersey representative games such as the Muratti.

The project began in February 2022 and is due for completion around Christmas, having been delayed due to the discovery of historical fire proofing issues, which require specialised works to be carried out.

Mark Greenfield Managing Director of Style Interiors said: “Whilst all of the projects we work on are important to us, Springfield Stadium is the largest project we have been involved on to date. As it is a Government of Jersey project, we are particularly keen to complete it to the high quality that the people of Jersey expect.”

A Style Homes development of eight stunning one and two bedroom apartments with a high specification finish, now nearing completion, Park Place is situated on a quiet lane in the heart of St Helier and is just a few steps away from Millennium Park.

Offering all the convenience of town centre living but with open, green space right on the doorstep, these modern, spacious apartments, some with private patios and terraces, include high specification finishes throughout.

These include a Linear Avant handless kitchen with feature lighting; 25mm Minerva solid worktops and matching splashback; stainless-steel sink with pillar chrome mixer tap and Neff integrated appliances including single oven, microwave oven, induction hob, dishwasher, 70/30 fridge freezer and extractor.

Bathrooms include white sanitaryware with chrome taps and fixtures, contemporary fitted vanity furniture, Illuminated, de-misting mirror cabinet, and wall hung WC with soft close seat and dual flush and ceramic tiling.

Internal finishes include contemporary white internal doors with chrome ironmongery; white matt emulsion walls; satin white internal woodwork; LED downlights throughout, and electric underfloor heating in bathrooms and cloakrooms (electric wall mounted heaters are fitted in all other rooms and controlled by app). The development will also have a video door entry system and CAT 5 cabling throughout.

All apartments have German manufactured dual colour (white internal & dark grey external) double glazed windows and doors and the development includes soft and hard landscaping to communal areas and secure and covered bike storage, including charging for E-bikes.
